We promise: Independent, confident, lifelong learners
There is an annual tradition at Samakee that we believe is very important and we need your help!
CCD is a charity that provides care and support to abandoned children with disabilities in our community. CCD also works with nearly 500 families in and around Nonthaburi who have a child with special needs.
With the help of our Girl Guides and families at home, we would like to put together children’s presents in a shoebox for the children in these families. Suggestions for the Christmas Box would be:
Things made of fabrics such as, handkerchiefs, hairbands, socks or T-shirts
Small soft toys
Little things like toy cars, animals or dolls
Colouring books, note books, stickers or pencils.
Toothbrushes, soap, hairbrushes, combs or shampoo
Girl Guide Troop Samakee
If you would like to donate small items our Girl Guides are keen to help their community! There is now a collection box in the office ready just for you. Please donate small items, see suggestions above, and the Girl Guides will sort and wrap the Christmas Boxes at school as part of their community service. The deadline for these small items is November 20th.
Christmas Boxes from Home
If you would prefer to make your own Christmas Box (or perhaps you would like to do both!), please send your wrapped box to school no later than December 16th. Please indicate clearly on the box whether your gift is suitable for a girl or boy and for what age: 2-4yrs, 5-9yrs or 10-14 yrs. Please label your box securely so that it can be given to the right child! The boxes will be collected at school during the last week of term and representatives from CCD will come to collect them.
