Roy has been involved with St. Andrews Samakee since its inception in 2000 and before that, was a founder of the original St. Andrews group of schools in 1996. Roy brings with him an enormous experience of local and international business, as well as 20 years’ experience as a Board member of Bangkok Patana School – where he also served as treasurer for most of that time. Roy originates from the UK where he worked at Price Waterhouse before coming to Thailand almost 40 years ago and rising to become Finance Director of a major International company based in Bangkok. Graham was also a founder member of the St. Andrews group as well as being closely involved with Samakee since the very beginning. He came to Thailand in 1992 to take up the post of Headmaster at Bangkok Patana School and during his 9 years as Head, the school was transformed into the large International School with the reputation for excellence that it enjoys today. Prior to coming to Thailand, Graham was a Headteacher and Educational Inspector in the UK and brings all that experience to our school. In her 30 plus years in teaching, Monica has worked as a head teacher at four different schools and was head of Bangkok Patana’s Early Years Unit for a number of years and the founding head of the first St. Andrews School in Thailand. From the beginning of her teaching career, Monica has specialised in early years education and in particular, recognises the importance of play as a context for young children’s learning.
Monica is also a speaker and workshop presenter for the Thai Schools of Excellence programme and is involved in curriculum development and teacher training in Thai Schools. Monica can be contacted at email@example.com
Tabietha was born in the States and has been working with the St. Andrews Group of schools for 21 years. She did her teacher training in the U.K. and has a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs. She has had experience working with children from Nursery to Year 4 in the U.K., Finland and Thailand. She has been the SEN coordinator and for the past few years has been First School Phase Leader.
