We promise: Independent, confident, lifelong learners
International Day 2013
On Friday 22nd children, parents and staff were invited to come to school dressed in their national costume or country colours. The morning’s activities were split into seven sessions and included country visits and an opportunity to visit the International Food Hall for some delicious treats!
The day began with a very colourful parade and a charming rendition of ‘We are the world’ sung by Year 2 children – it was a fantastic event from beginning to end! Our sincere appreciation goes to all of our parent volunteers who not only transformed our classrooms into different countries but also shared special features of their countries cultural traditions such as, sports, dances, histories, crafts and much more. The Dino Diner was rearranged into an international food hall and children, parents and teachers were able to enjoy a variety of very tasty foods. The children thoroughly enjoyed their action-packed morning, they learnt many new things about the world around them and their behavior was exemplary!
We sincerely thank all volunteers for creating such a marvelous mixture of experiences for us all to enjoy.
