We promise: Independent, confident, lifelong learners
We are excited to announce the very first Samakee Sleepover!
As part of our Samakee Survival Skills topic (see pictures below), we will be holding sleepovers for children in school. They will be held in two groups: KS2 (Years 3 – 6) will sleepover at school on Thursday 15th May and KS1 (Years 1 and 2) will sleepover at school on Thursday 22nd May. Please add your child’s sleepover date to your diary now.
On the day of the sleepover, children will start school at 11:30am. The later start is to ensure that children can have a restful morning and a hearty breakfast to prepare them for their adventure. That afternoon, all children will be taken on a trip to the Railway Park where they will take part in one of the Dangerous Deeds, An Endurance Walk. Upon returning to school there will be swim and shower time followed by a self-cooked BBQ meal, campfire, marshmallows, songs and games before bedtime.
Children will sleep inside classrooms where they will be supervised throughout the night by at least two teachers. In the morning, breakfast will be served in the Dino Diner and all children will get ready for their day at school. Friday will be a normal school day.
More detailed information and an excursion permission form will be sent to you soon.
