We promise: Independent, confident, lifelong learners
Summer School 2016
Our Summer School this year will be held in June for students from Nursery through to Year 8. As indicated in the school calendar, Summer School will start on 13th June and end on Friday 1st July. Summer School will be an all day programme, 8:30am-2:00 pm; however, attendance times may be flexible to meet individual needs. The school-based programme will operate Monday through Friday and will be led by our class teachers and supported by teacher assistants.
The Summer School Programme is designed to meet the needs of the individual learner as well as to provide a fun and creative learning experience. The teachers will shape our curriculum to make it developmentally appropriate to the needs and interests of the children in each group and there will be ample opportunities for academic learning: literacy, numeracy and science, as well as Thai language (optional for non-Thai) and a variety of sports. Group sizes will be small, making this programme an ideal introduction to school for Toddlers moving into Nursery in August or other new students joining the school.
For the first time this year, we will also be offering an Intensive English Programme during Summer School for students currently in Year 6-8. Students currently in Year 7 and Year 8 who attend the programme will continue working on the IGCSE core content to develop further the breadth of study. New-comers to KS3 and currently in Year 6 will develop the following key essential skills: Speaking (debate, including pronunciation, fluency and clarity of speech), listening, comprehension, reading and writing. The programme will be set within the framework of the New English National Curriculum 2014.
