Dear Samakee Community,

Samakee Giving Gala

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful community members for your support at today’s Samakee Giving Gala. The event was a huge success in raising money to help our neighbours in Chiang Rai recover after the devastating flooding.

The Giving Gala is the culmination of Maths Enterprise Week, and it allows students to unleash their inner entrepreneurism. Students were tasked with raising at least 1000 baht in their groups for this important cause. They designed and sold products from slime in Early Years to bracelets in Middle School and cookies in Inclusion. Upper school students had a blast providing services such as car washing, temporary tattoos, and video game experiences. Year 9 students led the way on catering delicious drinks and snacks for our gala, with yummy donations received from generous parents and other community members too!

The event culminated in performances by some of our talented students, which included comedy sketches, a dramatic role-play depicting what happens after flooding, and some wonderful musical solos. The highlight of the event was an exciting raffle where students won amazing prizes from games consoles to sports equipment and shopping vouchers. Thank you so much to our wonderful community for all of your generous support!
