Dear Samakee Community,

As the academic year draws to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our entire Samakee community. To all our parents and carers, thank you for your incredible trust, understanding, and unwavering support. Your partnership is invaluable and truly enriches our school every day.

This year has been filled with growth, learning, and countless memorable moments, and we are incredibly proud of our wonderful children for their hard work and commitment. Their enthusiasm and resilience are what make Samakee such a rich and vibrant place.

A Bittersweet Farewell to Our Year 9s

It’s always a bittersweet moment as we say goodbye to our Year 9 students. Yesterday, their Leavers Assembly was a truly heartfelt occasion, bringing together students, parents, alumni, and teachers. While we’re excited for their future adventures, there was also a real sense of nostalgia for the wonderful years they’ve spent with us. For some, Samakee has been their home since Early Years, and watching them grow into the bright, confident young individuals they are today has been a privilege. Their farewell speeches, filled with fond and funny memories, brought both laughter and a few tears. We wish each and every one of them the very best as they embark on their next chapter; they have left an unforgettable mark on our school.

Celebrating Our Departing Teachers

We also want to extend an extra special farewell to the three incredible teachers, Alice, Hannah and Sophie, who will be moving on from Samakee this year. Their dedication, passion, and immense contributions have been truly amazing and have profoundly impacted countless students and colleagues. They have enriched our school community in numerous ways, and their presence will be deeply missed. We wish them all the very best in their next endeavours and hope our paths will cross again in the future.

To all the families, students, and staff members who are moving on from Samakee, we wish you happiness and success in all your future endeavours. Your presence has enriched our community, and we wish you a journey ahead filled with joy and achievement.

Finally, to everyone in our community, we wish you a truly relaxing and safe holiday. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday, August 11th, for the start of the next academic year!
