Dear Samakee Community,
Thursday’s first Einstein event of the year was a meaningful experience as we joined forces for a big cleanup, collecting litter around the school and nearby area. A big thank you to all the families who contributed items from home for recycling at school!
This project taught the children why recycling is essential: it keeps our planet clean and healthy! Recycling turns old items like plastic, paper, and cans into new ones, saving energy, protecting nature, and helping animals by keeping their habitats free of trash.
Our neighbours welcomed the children warmly and expressed their gratitude for their efforts. After all the hard work, we gathered in the hall where guest speakers explained why recycling is so important. The children were amazed to learn that sorted rubbish can actually be sold, inspiring them to jump into sorting the bags right away! The rubbish collected was sold for 367 Baht and was put into the waiting truck.
The children also learned simple ways to recycle at home, such as:
- Sorting trash: Separating paper, plastic, and cans into one bin and other wet waste into another.
- Reusing items: Making the most of paper or creating crafts with old boxes.
- Rinsing bottles and cans before recycling.
Thank you, Einstein, for a very meaningful House event that reminds us all of the impact we can make together!
