21st March 2025

Dear Samakee Community,

Next week, our Year 3 – 9 students are off on their much-anticipated Residential Trips. Early Years and Key Stage 1 children will be in school as usual, however, anxious not to miss out, Key Stage 1 children (Year 1 & 2) are also off next Friday to visit the Children’s Discovery Museum. We wish them all a fantastic experience!

As we approach the Songkran break, we invite you to join us on the morning of Friday, April 4th, for a special almsgiving ceremony in our school garden. This event, a special part of our school’s cultural calendar, will feature nine monks from a local temple. Following a brief ceremony organised to teach our students about the traditions of Songkran, we will participate in offering food to the monks. These contributions will then be distributed to needy families, fostering a sense of community and compassion in our children. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about Thai culture and the importance of giving back to the community.

We want to remind everyone that school will finish early, at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 4th, so that we can all enjoy the Songkran break with our families and friends. Thank you for a wonderful term, and we hope you have a safe and happy holiday. We will see you back in school on Thursday, April 17th.
