Dear Samakee Community,
Yesterday, we received a “Thank You” letter from the World Vision National Director and a situation report of the flooding relief. The World Vision Foundation of Thailand thanked us for the recent donation (30,124 BHT) collected in coins to support funding-raising activities and help people affected by flooding. They expressed their gratitude for the contribution of our students, parents, and staff. Here is more information about their work:
“WVFT has utilized the donated amount with the pooled fund to provide immediate support to flood victims. To date, our emergency response has reached over 15,000 people through different interventions: 294 people have accessed services including health checks, shelter, accommodation, meals and NFI distribution at the WVFT Chiang Rai Development Centre; 9,000 people have received relief kits that include UHT milk, canned fish, drinking water, painkiller and fever medicine, mosquito repellent, candles, lighter, sanitary products, other food items. Currently, we are conducting an assessment to identify gaps and needs in service delivery for response and recovery phases, all of which shall restore their living conditions, enabling them to return to normal life as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
Dr. Sarawut Rachasrimuang
National Director
