New beginnings or Move on Afternoon will take place on Thursday 2nd June from 13:35 pm. until hometime and the children will move-on to meet their new teacher and learn a little more about the coming year. Children who will be leaving Samakee at the end of this school year will join our RAFT Programme and will share reflections and begin to think about: Reconciliation, Affirmation, Farewells & Thinking Ahead to new experiences and new schools.
To help us in our preparation for next academic year and our New Beginnings Programme, if you have not already done so please complete the form below to let us know whether your child will be staying at Samakee or leaving at the end of term. QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S PLATINUM JUBILEE COMES TO SAMAKEE

Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee (70 Years on the throne) the week beginning Monday, 6th June. Several events at school will mark this special occasion during the week, and next week we will share more details as the planning unfolds.

BOOK SHOP MONDAY 30TH THROUGH TO THURSDAY 2ND
Each year at Samakee, we spend a week celebrating books, book characters, authors and illustrators. From comics to mysteries, from magic to history, you can find just about anything between the pages of a book, and we want to make sure that all the children at Samakee grow up with a passion for books! This year, Book Week will take place the WB June 13th.
During Book Week, classroom teachers and specialist teachers develop book-related activities, offer competitions and tell stories to highlight the importance of reading.
Next week, in preparation for Book Week we have invited a children’s bookshop to our school from Monday 30th through to Thursday 2nd, so please be sure to stop by, do some shopping and extend your child’s library! For your convenience, the Book Shop will be set up at our Thai House next to the farm and will be open throughout the day. We hope to see you there!
SCHOOL PHOTOS – MONDAY 30TH & TUESDAY 31ST
Sunshine school photos will take place at school on Monday and Tuesday next week. Please make sure that your child comes to school in the correct school uniform and not PE or Farm clothes, if needed, PE and Farm clothes may be packed in your child’s bag ready to change at school. WELCOME SAMAKEE ALUMNI
On Tuesday afternoon, it was delightful to welcome a group of Samakee Alumni for a visit and wonderful to see and talk with them again. These students are graduating from high school this term and are on the next stage of their learning journeys and off to universities in the UK and USA. We wish them all the very best of luck!
